Free Backpacks and Free School Supplies

We have free backpacks for all Vysehrad Elementary School Students.  The backpacks can be picked up the week of July 27 - 30, 2026 and August 3 - 7, 2026.  The backpacks are first come first served.  A generous donor has provided enough backpacks for the entire school.  The office will be open from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM daily.  Backpacks will provided to all registered students.  You will be asked to verify your student's enrollment information prior to receiving your backpack.  All school supplies will be delivered to the student's classroom prior to the Meet the Teacher night.  All students are being asked to bring a sealed/closable water bottle labeled with their name to school.  In addition, PreK and Kindergarten students are asked to bring a nap pad with a pillow and light blanket.  Meet the Teacher is scheduled for Monday, August 10, 2026 from 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM.  Please contact the school office with any questions or concerns at 361.798.4118.
