Vysehrad, a word which means “High Castle” in the Czechoslovakian language is the name for the small rural school found in Lavaca County, Texas. The Vysehrad school, established in 1887, is situated on part of the Francis Smith League, located on County Road 182 about four miles west of Hallettsville, Texas on the old Shiner road and about a mile and half north of Worthing, Texas. The Vysehrad School has remained in the same location since the school was founded. Classes will resume at 8:05 a.m. on August 24, 2015 and end at 3:15 p.m. Buses will will leave the school approximately at 7:00 a.m. and return to school approximately at 7:45 a.m. Breakfast will be served in the cafeteria as soon as the buses arrive. Lunch prices are (Grades Pre-K - 4) $1.65, (Grades 5-8) $1.85, and reduced prices for lunch is 40 cents. Breakfast prices are (Pre-K - 8) $1.00, and reduced price is 30 cents.
