Christmas Play/Silent Auction

Christmas time is coming............................ This year the Christmas Play will be "The Christmas Crisis". The first performance will be held December 18, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. for the Senior Citizens. The second performance will be December 19, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. for the parents/grandparents/family/friends of the students. The PTO will be having a SILENT AUCTION the night of the Christmas Play. The Silent Auction is the only other fundraiser that benefits the PTO. The Silent Auction adds to the festivities of the Christmas Play. We are asking that every family participate and . . .

Stew Dinner

The annual PTO Stew Dinner and Raffle tickets is right around the corner!!! The stew dinner is scheduled for SUNDAY, JANUARY 14, 2018 AT ST. MARY'S CHURCH PARISH HALL, HALLETTSVILLE, TEXAS. The meal will be served from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Meal tickets are $9.00 per plate. Raffle tickets will sell for 1 ticket for $1.00 or a book of 6 for $5.00. Tickets are available from any Vysehrad student or may be purchased at Hoffers and Mortons in Hallettsville.  It has come to our attention that many folks prefer to purchase stew only. We will be pre-selling stew by the pound tickets. School History

Vysehrad, a word which means “High Castle” in the Czechoslovakian language is the name for the small rural school found in Lavaca County, Texas.  The Vysehrad school, established in 1887, is situated on part of the Francis Smith League, located on County Road 182 about four miles west of Hallettsville, Texas on the old Shiner road and about a mile and half north of Worthing, Texas.  The Vysehrad School has remained in the same location since the school was founded.  The number of students enrolled in the Vysehrad School has fluctuated over the years; some years seeing an enrollment close to 100 students. . . .
